Meet Marin Murphy

I am Marin Murphy, a freshman at Duquesne University, majoring in Sports Information and Media.
As you can tell from my major, I am a big sports fan! My favorite sport to watch is football and my favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. In the future, I would like to work in the media department for a major sports team.
Throughout high school, I filmed football games and practices, which ultimately helped me decide on my major. Fun fact, during my senior year of high school, I filmed a WPIAL football game in the press box at Acrisure Stadium!
In my free time, I love to hang out with my family and friends, go on walks, and take pictures.

In this class I hope to deepen my understanding of social media, how it works, and how to use it in a professional manner. I am hoping to gain insight on social media and the marketing aspects of it. The skills I learn from this course will follow me into my professional career.
