Mobile Blog
Mobile advertising has become the leading charge of advertising due to the obvious 24/7 usage of cellphones. eMarketer reported that mobile advertising is expected to reach $242.41 billion in 2023, accounting for more than half of total global advertising spending. It is clear, however, there is clearly good and bad ways to use mobile advertisements.
The best way for mobile ads to work is obvious, and that is to make mobile-optimized ads: Nobody wants an ad that is spaced for a laptop or desktop computer screen on their iPhone screen, so you have to have adaptable ad interfaces, otherwise, what is the point? The ads have to fit phone screens, be witty and catchy, and not be a hindrance, rather the planting of a seed in the consumer’s head. Additionally, it is a real help to have a Clear Call-to-Action (CTA): A CTA within mobile ads should be not only eye catching, but obvious and easy to navigate. Whether it is to go to another website, or build up a brand’s own website, it needs to be easy to use. It should also be prominently displayed and have clear benefits of clicking on the ad. Another obvious advantage is the ability to use location-based targeting: Cell phones allow for location-based targeting, which almost always will increase the relevance of ads to the user.
Now, it’s time to discuss the negatives of mobile ads. The first is something I deal with 1,000 times a day- Intrusive ads: Intrusive Ads that take up too much screen space or interfere with the consumer’s ability to interact with whatever it is that they’re doing is going to create havoc and completely ruin the ability of your ad to succeed. Nobody ever wants to disturbed by annoying ads, and I know I have personally never even read an ad that utilized something like that to the best of their ability.
