4 Reasons Businesses are Turning to YouTube More

How YouTube Stays Successful

YouTube after all this time still manages to stay on top of trends and what other social media platforms are doing and implement them into their own platform. Having things like a community tab on their channel helps posts updates that keep their community informed without needing a video to explain. YouTube also implemented YouTube Shorts to make more quick and simple content on the level that Instagram stories and TikTok are using that get so much support from their fanbases. Winner From the pandemic: YouTube

The platform was the social media site with the most growth during the pandemic and it makes sense. People are more likely to watch videos for recreational or informative content since learning and life in general was being done online. YouTube saw a growth about 8% among US adults between the end of 2019 to now. Along with many people being on their mobile devices YouTube is one of the most usable platforms because of how their site can be used no matter the device you are on and the information architecture is strong on here like Instagram. They use your data of who you watch along with the watch time to make your home page filled with content creators that you are more inclined to click on and watch their videos.
