I signed up for this class as I feel it will help me learn new marketing strategies and when I was trying to fill out my schedule I felt that the online aspect of the course was appealing for me. When it comes to working in teams I feel I can excel and get comfortable easily with new people which allows me to easily focus on and complete my work, seeing how I have a few friends in here id like to get the chance to work with them.

I am an avid skier and I travel the world to go ski, I have been skiing since I was 3 years old and I fell instantly in love. It is an experience that I feel that everyone should get to have and one of the places I have gone this year is to Lake Tahoe, CA. What was interesting about this location is that the mountain is shared between two states, California and Nevada. One second you’re skiing in Cali and the next you’re in a different state, I always thought that was interesting when I visit Family there. Half of my family lives here in Pennsylvania, though scattered around the state, and the other half lives out in California.

Three things that I would like to get out of this course would be the knowledge to sell and market a product online efficiently and what steps I need to take to make an article online that is concise and professional. Another thing I would like to learn is how many ads do we as a collective population per day.


One thing that I learned last year would be to keep those who care about you close and cherish them since you don’t know when you will need them, someone’s shoulder to rest on is much more comfortable that falling on your face and not knowing what to do.

One important skill I have learned throughout the social media and digital marketing course includes using the Google Campaign UTM Builder to create trackable links and how we can use that info to provide us with statistical values that can help us understand the performance of our websites.

To get started with the Google Campaign URL Builder, one must already have created something that they want to track the traffic on, and then they must create different links depending on what platform that the link will be shared on. Once we have figured that out we can then begin to use this link in the sharing process and we are then able to track where most of the traffic is coming from and more insights we wouldn’t know if we didn’t do this. While there are other ways to access this information through square space’s analytics i feel that this is a good contender for skills that i will be using throughout my actual career.

Another skill I began to pick up on throughout this course is the concept of social media SEO and how it can be beneficial to not just companies but also to individuals. Social media SEO refers to the practice of optimizing your social media profiles and content to improve their visibility and ranking in search engine results. This practice involves using keywords specific to your field and optimizing the content that is put out and shared on your profile to ensure that you are meeting the population you want to be reaching. Social media SEO also includes the practice of efficient audiance responces to allow for companies to connect with their customers creating more traffic organically. Knowing all these skills can allow for a brand’s social media or a personal social media to flourish into a better version of what once was.
