In the decade since Instagram has been established, social media has dramatically changed our lives. This chase to perfection has led to filter-inspired plastic surgery and a ton of oversized desserts that don’t fit into your mouth, but fit perfectly into the little square posted on the screen. Instagram has forced people to make their lives more worthy to post about. People have began to value experiences over things.

Users have started sharing their unfiltered faces, stretch marks or scars, to the rise of plus size and disabled influencers, efforts are being made to break the narrow beauty standard by using Instagram.

With just a couple clicks you are able to see pictures of the most ideal spots to be and places to eat around the world, travel behaviors are changing as a result. whether its using the app to look up places to go or to find a picture to recreate, Instagram is having an impact.
