“While we all know that creating delightful experiences will encourage new visitors to return, repeat customers can prove a little trickier to engage. Since they already know you, they’ll be wiser in evaluating the information and attributes of your online store, which means that their motivations will be different from those who are shopping with you for the first time. Regarding sales, your website’s layout will usually influence new customers, ease of use, and the size and reputation of your business. In contrast, returning customers will be more sensitive to convenience, the breadth and depth of your product offering, and the playfulness of the overall experience.” (Nahai, N., 2010)
