Meet Christian Glass
Senior at Duquesne University Studying IMC
Hello! And welcome to my blog. I’m a senior at Duquesne University studying Integrated Marketing Communication with a minor in Psychology. I am taking this class to better hone my skills in digital marketing and social media platforms. I often enjoy taking a creative approach to projects and my coursework. I enjoy social media marketing and with that realize that there can be an array of different creative solutions to a problem. One thing you should know about me is, I graduate in May and am currently looking for a job in social media management. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn!
Three things I would like to get out of this class are:
-
I’d love to learn how to use different platforms and programs I’m unfamiliar with (Squarespace, Google analytics, etc.)
-
I’d love to better hone my social media management from a brand perspective. I have experience from previous internships and jobs, but I’d love to learn more.
-
I’d love to learn the best optimization practices; long term I’d love to own my own brand at some point and website optimization is key to being successful.
A quote that I like to draw inspiration from is:
“Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
Something you should know about me:
Something readers should know about me is, I’m always ready for the next adventure. I love to travel and road trip in my free time I love trying out new things. I often take hobbies as new adventures, so as one of my New Year’s Resolutions, I am attempting to learn the piano in my free time.
What I learned last year:
Last year, I learned through work experience that it is never too late to change your path. Coming into my senior year I was still unsure of what I wanted to do after graduation and it wasn’t until my recent position at Allervision Tech as a Marketing Associate and Content Creator, that I realized social media marketing is the track I want to be on. Through my school experience, I learned that it never hurts to ask. It really is an age-old saying that I have a hard time grasping, but when I do it opens up a world of possibilities.
