Meet Alex Cindrich

My name is Alex Cindrich. I am 21 years old, and I am a currently a sophomore. My major is Sports Information and Media, and I am minoring in Sociology. I am taking this class because it is a requirement for my major and I am interested in what is in store for this semester. My approach to going after projects is that I try to attack them as soon as I can. I will get more things to do later in the semester, so I do projects sooner, so I have more time to relax.

My Favorite Quote: "If you don’t heal what hurts you, you’ll bleed on people who didn’t cut you.”- Anonymous

The reason I chose this quote is because, it is something that is completely true and I think this can happen to anyone of us especially to people you love.

3 thing I am looking to get out of this class:

  1. I am looking to work with others and to hear ideas and thoughts from other perspectives about different topics and to learn from them as well.

  2. I am looking to learn what kind of things we post about and learning what is ok to post and what not to post.

  3. What I need from this class is to know the things to post when it is coming from the sports world

1 thing that you should know about me is that my ancestors came from Croatia. I am part Croatian.

One thing I learned in 2024 and to bring to 2025 is that everyone at Duquesne University is always supportive and the staff always care about you.

2 Things I Learned About My Work From Digital Analytics

The first thing I about the work I’ve done is creating new links every post. When I was making a blog for the first time, I had no idea how to even make a link. The more blogs I made it made realize how good I was at making them. This is to the point where if I ever make a post and I need to include a link I always will. Also I realize making your own links to post does matter a ton when you are cementing your work.

The second thing I learned is how social media there are times where you need to do teamwork. When I started, I thought being a media creator was a solo thing, and everyone is on their own. Turns out I was wrong, that now that I thought about it further and compare from the start of the semester you do need team members for some parts of posting. I thought from the start of the group project I thought we were going to work together the whole way, but that was not the case, you see we did work on our own, but after my group came together and shown what they got from their posting, and we bring it all together. So, in the end you're still working alone, but you have a team around for support, just in case.
