Sharing and Tracking Blog Article Payton Miller
I looked at my results from my links, and it appears that I got more traction through email. I expected that because I feel like I don’t have as many people that I am linked with on there. I think this exercise also allowed me to realize I need to expand my connections on LinkedIn, because clearly not many people are interacting with my posts. Four of those views were linkedIn, and 14 via email, so relatively low numbers overall for me. To be honest, I sent my blog to most people via SMS on Tuesday of last week, so I am not surprised that the engagement/ time on the site was low. Everyone who I sent it to had already viewed in via SMS, so they were probably uninterested in giving it a second read through. I think next time I will decide to send it out to a lot more people than I did to increase my chances of engagement. I think sending out to collages, and other people in my network would really increase my results. I could see how having more insights can be even more useful when using the software. Google Analytics is super helpful, because it allows us to really narrow down each medium and decided which to maximize on. I could see how this would be super helpful for buisness’ who are smaller and are interesting in increasing the amount of people that see their page. I think expanding the amount of people that receive my blog will ultimately help with reach, and engagement on the site itself. Overall, I really liked playing with Google Analytics, I think it allows for us to really dig deep on what we are sending out, and see what ways are effective.
