Data for Meet Austin Hansen Article Performance

by: Austin Hansen

My Work

To maximize the reach and engagement of my latest blog article, I wanted to verify how my Meet Austin Hansen page looked on mobile devices, as I imagined most people would view it on those devices. This included looking at my Squarespace in the mobile configuration. Once that vital portion of my promotion was confirmed and my URLs were properly configured, I knew I was good to go. First, I sent my email to people such as close friends and family. My next step involved trying to make a well-rounded LinkedIn post giving a slight preview of what people may be clicking on.

For instance, I included the goal of my internship search in a position with Public Relations and Strategic Media. I also included how, in my link, there will be an insight into my education projects. The use of hashtags is very important, so I made a LinkedIn search for hashtags involving positional strengths and the idea of being on an internship search. After coming to a conclusion on hashtags and sharing my LinkedIn posts and Emails, I monitored my impressions for a couple of days and concluded.

My Data

When looking at my Google Analytics shows how email gives me greater impressions of my blog than LinkedIn, which does not surprise me at all. I think this is the case clearly because I do not have many connections on LinkedIn. The numbers are very different email was 10x of what was LinkedIn. My goal is to improve the number of people who connect with me on LinkedIn so more people can interact with my LinkedIn posts, but currently, to reach more people Email is the way to go. To connect with prior ways of promoting my Meet Austin Hansen blog, the SMS is currently king, which I would argue makes sense for people who use phones in day-to-day usage, which is continuing to skyrocket.

Being able to see this data is very useful. Learning how to use it even at this small scale equips me with what is vital to any marketing promotion because all eyes are green, meaning that the more eyes are, the more money. This strategy can be used when trying to make proper deals concerning projected impressions.
