My Findings Assignment Two
Penelope Lee
When I initially attempted this assignment, I found it to be slightly challenging. I decided to track both Facebook and email interactions. As of now, both channels have received seven interactions each. I found this unique due to the stark differences between these platforms. In retrospect, I would like to try this assignment again, as the limited timeframe may have impacted the results. I believe the data could be significantly higher if tracked over a longer period.
I also think Google Analytics could be an essential tool to help increase brand awareness, especially as it links to platforms that are becoming more commonly used. My specific links received the most traction during the nighttime, which surprised me since I had shared the links earlier in the day. Another surprising finding was that most participants who viewed my profile only stayed for about eleven seconds. This really reinforced the idea that a profile or media source needs engaging elements to capture the viewer's attention and maintain their interest.
In the future, I’d like to focus on how to gain more attention to my profile. Perhaps revisiting the structure of my blog and making it more eye-catching could help. I was also concerned that even people who know me personally only stayed on my profile for eleven seconds. This makes me want to further enhance my blog to engage not only those who know me but also random viewers.
I genuinely enjoyed this assignment, as it gave me the opportunity to explore platforms I had never used before. Although I’ve always been hesitant to try new platforms, I can see myself using these tools in my future career.
