What about Pursue Persuade?
Pursue Persuade is a website platform that is used to support digital marketing students and small businesses by posting useful content and realistic strategies. However, the problem that stands out is the site has no clear focus in a sense that students post different content and topics which can make it confusing for visitors to find what they are looking for or are interested in. The audience is so broad and there is no consistent message, meaning that when each student posts a topic, one may be about AI while the other may be about the latest controversy. So how are we able to specifically target anyone? To help solve this problem, we need a simple digital strategy that improves SEO, organizes the content better, and makes people stay on the site longer.
Strategy Implementation:
~Focus on Marketing Topics
With so many posts that do not specifically align day by day, the audience does not know what to expect- from AI opinions, random research, or actually a marketing topic. To attract true following, the content should focus on core marketing topics such as “What is SEO?”, “Choosing the Right Platform”, “How Paid Ads Work”. This is a great start because it will create a more centralized topic theme rather than the platform seeming like a class project, and it will create a more engaging presence. Essentially, topics can be based more on marketing 101 tips or even how to enhance or start marketing for a business.
For the reasoning of enhancing traffic and engagement time for the site, maybe the use of AI content and AI help can be beneficial. While AI has some negative perspectives from others, it can be a useful tool in moderation, especially when in this case using it to help keep up with new and emerging trends!
~Content Organization
One idea is, “Topic of the Week” system where each week highlights a main topic and within that, there can be subtopics in relation to the main. This will keep content focused and condensed yet informative. People are more likely to follow and share a page that posts consistently but relevant, and centralized, valuable information. Even for class purposes, this idea could improve their Google Analytics use which gives students clear data on what works and how their posts are performing.
Regarding enhancement in a way that internal links can be used to keep visitors reading, these links can be posted within the content to keep them more interested and occupied. An example would be-if a student or someone publishes a topic about how to post on social media, within that content there can be links to other articles such as when is the best time to post this content, etc. This can help increase engagement and site time as well as further the knowledge of the reader. This can also help organize subtopics within the content, it almost is a one stop shop of marketing advice.
~Improve Social Media Presence
From a previous blog:

To grow a real audience for the Social Media platforms of Pursue Persuade, focusing on posts that solve problems and educate, all while using relevant hashtags is essential. Also, focusing on those SEO Practices such as key words, and descriptions is what will throw that content out to the public to become more discoverable on platforms. With a clear and concise message, engagement can grow naturally which can make those inconsistent viewers into true followers. To improve the presence overall, ‘As long as your content is engaging, this can encourage visitors to spend longer on your site’

Final Thoughts Moving Forward
Pursue Persuade has a lot of room to grow, but it needs a stronger strategy to grow and keep people interested. However, this is a great thing because this is also utilized as a student platform for learning in the marketing world, so this would be a great idea for students to help this platform grow. Not only throughout this blog were different approaches given, but also the main approach that could be very beneficial to Pursue Persuade and students would be to let the students enhance the site.
Right now the topics are a bit too random and the message is not clear to the audience. By focusing more on core marketing related topics and organizing the content around a weekly theme, the site can be more useful and easier to follow, which will allow the audience to keep coming back for more. Utilizing internal links can help the visitor stay on the site for a longer time and create more engagement. Adding more SCO practices will make it easier for the new visitors to find the content, that way it is not only the students that are using the site. With all these small changes, there could be a big difference for the site as well as for the students learning. As students post on here and create content by using all of these strategies, it will make it easier for them to track their performance and actually get numbers to analyze. Pursue Persuade can go from feeling like a class project to being a true platform for all students and even small businesses.
