Meet Natalie Mason

💖

💖

Hi everyone! I’m Natalie, a junior at Duquesne University, double majoring in Marketing Communications and Advertising/PR. Although I am taking this class to fulfill a requirement for my Ad/PR major, I plan to use this class to get more acquainted with social media and digital marketing. I believe that taking this course will prepare me for future professional positions that require the use of different platforms that we go over and learn about in class. When it comes to projects for school or work, I like to take a thoughtful and organized approach. An important skill I possess is being able to work with others and be mindful of all parties when it comes to completing certain tasks. Being organized in any setting, whether that be school or work, is also something I pride myself on.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
— Robert Brault

- I enjoy this quote because it reminds me of my grandparents who never fail to remind me to never rush through life. Life is simply too short to be living anywhere but the present. So enjoy the little things while you can!

More about me!

Something you may not know about me is that I am a member of Alpha Phi here at Duquesne! I went through recruitment second semester of my freshman year, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have formed so many great friendships with so many girls that I will seriously cherish forever! Our philanthropy consists of the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s heart health. My grandmother suffers from a heart condition called AFib, so our philanthropy means a lot to me. Every year, we hold an event called the Red Dress Gala, where she is always my plus one! I also hold a position in my sorority where I communicate with other sororities and fraternities to plan fun events! I am so thankful to be surrounded by amazing girls who uplift me and inspire me to be the best version of myself!

My Family Tree!

This was my first time participating in sorority recruitment! I got to meet so many cool girls and learn so much about them! This is a picture of my family tree. Gabby (on the right) recently graduated, but we still keep in touch! The three of us are attending the wedding this summer of a girl in our tree who graduated 2 years ago!

Faith!

This is my best friend Faith, who I went through recruitment with! We both ended up joining Alpha Phi, became roommates in towers on the wing, and now we live in a house in the Southside with 3 of our best friends!

3 things I would like to learn from class:

  1. Effective Content Strategies

  2. Measure Data Analytics

  3. SEO and Content Optimization

What I'm bringing into 2025 with me

In 2024, I realized the importance of prioritizing balance in my schedule, relationships, and personal well-being. In 2025, I plan to continue this by setting boundaries, making space for what truly matters, and being intentional with my time and energy.
