Meet Elena Lazaro
Introduction
Hi! My name is Elena Lazaro, and I’m a senior public relations and advertising major with a minor in communications, graduating in May. I am taking this class because I think it might be beneficial for what I want to do with my future career.
Regarding how I approach projects, I like being a leader and keeping everything organized. I work best independently but have learned to collaborate. I try to stay on top of everything, whether that be deadlines, projects, meetings, etc
Interesting about me…
I am bilingual (Spanish and English). Trying for trilingual (Italian)
I studied abroad in Rome
I work in the study abroad office
I’m from Puerto Rico
I want to get out of this class
How do you write for digital media and have it be consistent through the different media? I have experience writing press releases and social media, but I wish to be consistent throughout with language.
SEO is something that I feel is up and coming. I have very few experiences with it and would like to learn more.
How to use the different media to its potential? Specifically, learn why things catch on through analytics.
Something I learned in 2023…
In 2023, a lot happened. I went abroad, lost family and friends, and am entering a new phase in my life (post-grad life). With everything that happened, I learned to let go of things that were out of my control and that everything happens for a reason.

User behavior:
Digital analytics provides valuable insights into user behavior on websites and mobile apps.
By analyzing metrics such as page views, bounce rates, and time spent on site, businesses can understand how users interact with their digital properties and identify areas for improvement.
2. Identifying high-traffic pages or content:
By analyzing your website's traffic data, you can identify which pages or pieces of content are most popular with your audience.
It can help you understand which topics or types of content are most engaging for your audience and inform your content strategy going forward.
From the lecture GA and SEO pt 1, we understand that SEO and keywords are the first steps necessary to succeed. This will ensure that your content gets high traffic.
The group project was a great way to see this in action since my group’s data (group 4) concluded that most of our website visitors come from mobile devices, had a very high bounce rate, and social media campaigns have successfully driven traffic to the website.
